Bible reading should be more than a pleasant pastime. It can become a daily habit that will change your life. God's Word holds out the promise of rich benefits for those who spend time reading it and taking its truths to heart. Here are just seven(7) of the many ways your life can be better as you make the Holy Bible your daily reading companion. All seven(7)come from Psalm 119, one of the longest writings in scripture and a magnificent song of praise for God's Word.

I. The Holy Bible will help keep you from sin.
"I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you"(Psalm 119:11)

II. The Holy Bible will lift your burdens.
"My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word." (Psalm 119:28)

III. The Holy Bible will guide your steps.
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."(Psalm 119:105)

IV. The Holy Bible will bring you joy.
"Your statues are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart"(Psalm 119:111)

V. The Holy Bible will lead you to wisdom.
"The unfolding of Your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130)

VI. The Holy Bible will give you peace.
"Great peace have they who love  Your law, and nothing cab make them stumble"(Psalm 119:165)

VII. The Holy Bible will bring you back to God.
"I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek Your servant, for I have not forgotten Your commands"
     (Psalm 119:176)

The Holy Bible is probably the first book that I have read. It took me a while to finish it because it was so long, but it was definitely worth it. My faith in God really had a dip back when I was a kid, so I read the Bible. After reading the Bible completely, I was able to go and realize how great God truly is. I recommend reading the Holy Bible to everyone whose faith is being torn apart.

I find it amazing how studying the bible can help guide you if you lost your way, and it could also help you find peace. My friend lost his way after this pandemic started, and now he's not even sure what he's supposed to do with his life. I'll share this with him and suggest that he try out online bible studies.
